A few friends from Boulder had this idea to run the Ramsay Round in the Scottish Highlands. I joined as documentarian, and offered small amounts of support when I could. It’s a A route that I can only describe as burly. Made up mostly of no real trail, guided by a map and compass, true summits marked by cairns hidden behind all the elements that to me define bad weather. Here, there are downhills as challenging as the ups. We ate chutney on everything and laughed about self inflicted short term misery, also known as fun.
